When Donna Eichner and Marney Florin, founders and CEOs of Ambershaye, were searching for the right charity to donate a large number of brand-new purses to, they called the Aventura Marketing Council/Chamber of Commerce (AMC) for suggestions.
The AMC knew it had to be a charitable organization that could create an event to distribute over 200 purses to women and girls in need. And Grace Leadership Preparatory Institute located in Miami Gardens was the perfect organization. Working closely with Miami Gardens schools, churches and hospital patients, Chantale Milord, CEO of Grace Leadership, quickly organized a school committee to plan a Mother’s Day event to donate 200+ beautiful purses to women and girls who would most appreciate and use these ‘gifts from the heart’.
Milord said, “We never know what we can be for one another. I believe that we are all connected to a mysterious magnetic force and whatsoever we do unto the least of us, we do it unto our God. I thought it truly remarkable that Donna and Marney would donate so much, and they were so enthusiastic and full of energy when we met with them…as if THEY were receiving this amazing gift! How blessed we are to have individuals like Donna and Marney who want to contribute to our community.”
“It’s our honor and privilege to donate these handbags. We at Ambershaye are thrilled to know that the handbags will be given to so many worthy recipients for Mother’s Day….a holiday created to express respect, honor, and love towards mothers, ” said Donna.
Ambershaye is a Miami -based handbag company that was started by two lifelong friends, Donna Eichner and Marney Florin, with a passion for fashion. Donna and Marney created their company by combining their sense of style with their head for business. Ambershaye prides itself in selling chic leather handbags in an array of trendy styles and colors.
Ambershaye is well-known by many South Florida charities, and is often asked to have a display of handbags at charity events and donate a portion of their proceeds to the charity.
