Pembroke Pines-based Foot Print to Success Clubhouse Launches Annual Fundraising Campaign to Support Individuals Grappling with Mental Illness

Foot Print to Success Clubhouse in Pembroke Pines is kicking off its fifth annual Clubhouse Giving Day campaign on May 1, 2025, and this year, every step counts. As a nonprofit dedicated to empowering adults living with serious mental illness, Foot Print to Success offers a supportive, therapeutic community where members build confidence, develop social and job skills, and take charge of their futures. Donations will be accepted through the end of June, fueling the Clubhouse’s mission to turn hope into action. At Foot Print, members aren’t just participants, they’re valued collaborators, working side by side to transform lives and realize dreams.
Foot Print to Success is proud to stand alongside Clubhouses around the world for this year’s global fundraising movement led by Clubhouse International. This powerful annual event unites mental health communities across continents, showcasing how collective action can create life-changing opportunities and spark meaningful change, right here in Pembroke Pines and far beyond.
“As we launch our fifth annual Clubhouse Giving Day, we’re reminded that every single act of generosity moves our members one step closer to recovery and independence,” said Barbara Harmon, CEO of Foot Print to Success Clubhouse. “Your support doesn’t just sustain our mission — it powers it, providing the job training, sense of belonging, and hope that adults living with mental illness need to reclaim their futures. Together, we’re not just changing lives—we’re creating a world where everyone has the chance to thrive.”
This year, your Clubhouse Giving Day donation is more impactful than ever. Funds raised will go toward the infrastructure and operational needs of the brand-new Culinary Training Kitchen – a key part of the non-profit’s workforce development program for adults living with serious mental illness. Donations will help cover essential expenses, including specialized cleaning and sanitation supplies such as approved chemical dispensers, disposable gloves, hairnets, and aprons. They will also support facility maintenance needs, including increased water and electricity costs, as well as trash bags and waste disposal services. In addition, contributions will go toward training and compliance efforts, including food safety certifications, licensing, and permit fees.
“At Foot Print to Success, we believe that every person deserves the chance to thrive. This new Culinary Training Kitchen represents more than just meals and job skills – it’s a doorway to dignity, purpose, and long-term stability for our members,” said Harmon. “Clubhouse Giving Day helps us open that door for even more individuals ready to take the next step in their journey.”
Donations will also help the Clubhouse provide healthy meals, hands-on job training, and a safe, fully compliant environment where members gain the skills they need to succeed in the food service industry and beyond. In nearly 15 years, Foot Print to Success has helped Clubhouse members secure jobs that have generated almost $4 million in wages, a powerful testament to the life-changing impact of your support.
Last year, the international Clubhouse network raised nearly $146,000 on Giving Day to support this vital work. Coinciding with Giving Day, the Clubhouse Week of Action — taking place from May 19 to 23, 2025 — is a dedicated time for Clubhouses across the country to engage local representatives, businesses, media, and community members in learning about the holistic Clubhouse Model for mental health recovery.
