The National Champion Hammocks Middle School dance teams will perform Sunday, June 1st at Mardi Gras Style Dance Awards Event.
It will be held at Olga’s Repetion Hall, 12260 S.W. 8th Street, Miami, 33184 TIME IS 1 P.M. UNTIL 5 P.M.
Admission is $16 a person except for the dance students. Trophies and awards will be presented to members of the Hammocks Middle School Electric, Hurricane and Tornado dance teams who took part in their annual dance show, “Our Nation of Communication.” The dance show was held last week at Hammocks Middle School in West Kendall.
There will be a disc jockey to entertain students and their families. The Hammocks Dancers Booster Club will present trophies together with Ms. Wendy Schwartz of Pinecrest, who has taught dance for 28 years at Hammocks. She has guided the dancers to state, regional and national championships.
Students who attend must wear a mask. Threre will be a parade of students and their dancers.
