Reduced Pet Adoptions
Adopting a shelter pet is a low cost, personally satisfying alternative to purchasing a pet from a pet store. Shelters dogs and cats make good pets and reward their rescuers with lifelong loyalty and affection! Start your search here.
Mobile and Offsite Adoption Events
Animal Services uses its mobile pet adoption unit, named the HOPE Express (Helping Our Pets Everyday) to host offsite adoption events throughout the community. To name a few, Animal Services hosts weekly adoption events at participating PetSmart locations, monthly events at Mall of the Americas, and at Cocowalk Family Fun Day! Lost & Found Services
Animal Services provides care and shelter for lost pets until they are claimed by their owners. At the unfortunate event that your pet gets lost, Animal Services provides “Lost and Found” assistance to the public.
Pet Surrender Prevention Program
When the unexpected happens, you don’t have to part ways with your pet. Animal Services helps pet owners find a solution that fits their specific need so that they and their beloved furry family member can stay together. Learn more about the Pet Surrender Prevention Program.
Pet-Care Packages
Animal Services now offers three comprehensive vaccine packages, or “pet care packages”, so pet owners can take the lead in their pet’s well-being. Package options include spay/neuter surgery, microchip, and vaccinations for your furry friend.
Pet license tag renewal
Purchase and renew dog license tags and report rabies vaccination renewals at Animal Services or online, conveniently from home.
