Lenny Krayzelburg, American four-time Olympic Champion, five-time World Record holder, and General Manager of the International Swimming League Club LA Current, is partnering with the Michael-Ann Russell JCC opening SwimRight Academy on the J’s campus.
SwimRight Academy, founded in 2005 in Los Angeles, CA, has multiple locations around the U.S. and has taught more than 30,000 kids to swim confidently.
The SwimRight philosophy is based on combining traditional swimming teaching techniques and the pro-sports approach, creating the best method to help any child safely develop a strong set of interpersonal skills, including confidence, self-discipline, and the ability to compete and socialize. These skills can be applied to any real-life situation within the aquatic environment and beyond.
Lenny Krayzelburg, SwimRight Academy founder, said in his welcome statement, “what we are trying to do is to create a path. A path where a child can start to learn at the earliest age how to be water-safe, enjoy the water, and eventually grow within the sport to compete and open the doors to elite swimming. Whether it’s learning water safety, getting a college scholarship, or even potentially joining the Olympic or an ISL team, we want to make sure every child has all the opportunities to succeed in our sport. And we could not be more excited to partner with the MARJCC to offer these opportunities to the South Florida community.”

Although SwimRight Academy will begin its program on the MARJCC campus on June 1, 2021, the pre-registration process is already open. After the SwimRight faculty reviews a swimmer’s application, the family is provided a free evaluation class to assess the program that is the best fit for the applicant.
