Residents of One Island Place in Aventura recently joined forces with the Aventura Police Department to show their support for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. With an Aventura Police car sporting pink ribbons and the important message, residents gathered outside their building, dressed in pink, to help spread the word of this disease that remains the second leading cause of cancer death among women overall and the leading cause of cancer death among Hispanic women.
