Enrollment now open for two-week sessions
The Aventura Arts & Cultural Center announced the return of in-person Summer Theater Camp. Enrollment is now open for two sessions designed for ages 9 to 14, which will be offered June 28-July 16 and July 19-August 6.
The camp features intermediate classes in acting, singing, dance and technical production with first session campers performing Matilda JR. and second session campers performing Children of Eden JR.
Under the direction of The Performance Project School of the Arts’ Executive Director Nina Felice, campers gain hands-on experience in musical theater, acting, dance, voice and technical production and will enjoy theater games, arts & crafts and other activities. Each camp session will culminate in a live performance on a professional stage in the Amaturo Theater at the Broward Center.
Every camper will perform in a show and experiences the joy of performing on stage. Throughout the camp session, children and teens will gain self-confidence, develop critical thinking skills and learn the importance of teamwork in an encouraging environment.

Capacity is currently limited with enhanced safety protocols in place in accordance with local conditions and CDC guidelines and may adapt based on environmental improvements. Tuition for all camps is $815 per session and includes a variety of items to enhance campers’ experiences and provide lasting memories. Sibling and multi-session discounts are available. Camp hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Early camp hours are available from 8 to 9 a.m. for $50 per session or $5 per day; after camp hours are available from 4:30 to 6 p.m. for $100 per session or $10 per day; or both before and after camp combined for $150 per session. Campers must bring their own lunch and snacks.
The Aventura Arts & Cultural Center is located at 3385 N.E. 188 Street in Aventura. The Broward Center for the Performing Arts manages the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center, a 14,864-square-foot, 330-seat waterfront complex that hosts performing arts, cultural and educational programming for all ages.
