Tre Pennie stops in at Mo’s Bagels –“Government Center South’Ever watch the old TV series “Cheers”?   The theme song  had these words in it…”..where everybody knows your name”. Mo’s Bagels & Deli, owned by Paul Kruss and Mo Mohammed for almost 30 years, is this community’s “Cheers” site!   Local, state and national figures routinely stop in at Mo’s Bagels & Deli to not only enjoy the traditional deli foods, but to network with the other guests there and have a chance to talk to Paul who is always on top of the news affecting our nation.

Tre Pennie, a nationally-recognized law enforcement advocate, was recently introduced to  Kruss while enjoying the  best corned beef sandwich in town!   But the visit was made even better when Paul came over to greet him  and a long conversation ensued about their mutual support for Israel.   Pennie has been featured in many mainstream television, radio and media outlets and  is the President/Executive Director of the National Fallen Officer Foundation,  a 501 © (3) that assists the families of law enforcement nationally killed in the line of duty

Pennie is an active 22-year Dallas Police  Sergeant, and principal founder of the Dallas Fallen Officer Foundation, the Texas Fallen Officer Foundation and now the National Fallen Officer Foundation.  He’s a strong advocate for military service, education, philanthropy, community service and support for law enforcement.  In 2020, he ran for Congress and was considered for a presidential appointment to the White House in 2018.
