Steven G…….deeply committed to ‘giving back’

A legendary interior designer, Steven Gurowitz understands and embodies the words, “giving back ”. The list of charities and incredible acts of kindness is long and continues to grow. Not only has Interiors by Steven G been the Title Sponsor of the Aventura Marketing Council/Chamber of Commerce’s YOUNG STARS SHOWCASE for the past four years where proceeds benefit the AMC Education Foundation, but he has also given a ‘gift of love’ for many who are less fortunate.
“When your business is strong, you should do all you can for those less fortunate,” he says. “With so many children and families facing serious hardships, we are deeply committed to giving back.”
Steven and his professional team support Alfalit International, a program providing literacy, basic education, and early childhood development as well as Lotus House, a South Florida shelter for the homeless. Hurricane victims, both abroad and at home, have been the recipients of his generosity, as well as families in need who have received renovated homes.
When Steven learned about the Embrace Girls Foundation, a charity dedicated to providing educational programs for girls at Miami-Dade County Public Schools, he opened his heart to them and bought all the young girls and their siblings all the items on their Christmas wish lists. But the biggest surprise was yet to come. On Valentine’s weekend, he surprised the 16 girls with brand-new, personalized bikes. Tears of joy and squeals of laughter filled the air on that very special day. As one of the young girls said, “I never thought I’d have a bike!”.
Steven doesn’t wait for others to ‘improve the world’…he just does it!
