Students from across Miami-Dade County will meet with professional stylists, embark on a shopping spree at H&M, and more.

What Education nonprofit Achieve Miami is hosting its annual “Best Look Forward” event, where students from Title One high schools across Miami-Dade will learn how to dress for success. Sixty-eight Achieve Miami scholars from their college readiness cohorts will meet with professional stylists, prep for job interviews, and indulge in a shopping spree at H&M.

“Access to professional attire and interpersonal skills can open so many doors for students participating in college visits, job interviews, and in their everyday lives. With this event, each student will take home a new outfit and new skills. We’re excited to give students access to resources that will help them succeed,” said Achieve Miami Director of Development Rachel Saiontz Geary.

Since the nonprofit’s founding in 2015, Aventura Mall has supported Achieve Miami through several initiatives, including partnering for its Best Look Forward event in 2018.

Achieve Miami is a nonprofit organization that is narrowing racial divides and leveling the playing field in Miami-Dade schools by matching educational challenges with tangible solutions. Together with partners from the public and private sector, Achieve Miami designs and manages programs that bring together members from various parts of the community to extend learning opportunities for students, teachers, and community leaders. Since its founding, Achieve Miami has supported thousands of students, bolstered programming for 60+ local schools, and engaged thousands of volunteers.
