All Streets In Aventura Are Passable

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
Thanks to the significant investments the City of Aventura has made in stormwater infrastructure and the incredible work of the city’s Public Works Department, all streets in Aventura are now passable.

Though some streets are still flooded, water levels have dropped to a point where most cars can drive on them. A few disabled vehicles may still remain on some streets.

We ask those who drive to remain aware that severe flooding still exists in the areas surrounding Aventura and on private property within the city. Please drive with caution.

Upon the news of all of Aventura’s streets becoming passable, Mayor Howard Weinberg issued the following statement:

“Aventura invests in the things that matter most – public safety and infrastructure. And we do it while maintaining the lowest property tax rate in South Florida. Our entire city owes a debt of gratitude to the incredible professionals who responded to this storm and kept us safe.”
