The Aventura Arts & Cultural Center has announced that Vi at Aventura will return as a venue sponsor, marking its third consecutive year in that role and its fourth year of support, which dates back to the popular waterfront theater’s inaugural year.
“The residents from Vi at Aventura have a vital interest in the arts based on their lifetimes of experiences and we welcome them to the Arts & Cultural Center,” said City of Aventura Mayor Susan Gottlieb. “Vi’s long-term support has helped us create a place for highquality, varied programming while also enabling us to continue to expand our offerings.
A “Type A” continuing care retirement community featuring independent living, assisted living, Alzheimer’s/ memory support care and skilled nursing care, Vi at Aventura is located across from Aventura Mall and adjacent to Turnberry Isle Miami Resort & Club.
“Vi at Aventura is committed to providing residents a lifestyle focused on wellness and vitality to support successful aging,” said Vi at Aventura Community Relations Manager Marjorie Aloni. “Our visits to the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center are enjoyable and enriching experiences and we are pleased to continue our support.”
Highlights of the second half of the 2013- 14 season include two-time Tony Awardwinner Chita Rivera recreating signature moments from her legendary career and concerts by Broadway luminaries Stephanie J. Block, Sam Harris, Will Chase and The Broadway Tenors and Slow Burn Theatre Company’s production of the multiple Tony Award and Drama Desk Award nominated Broadway Musical Chess.
The Aventura Arts & Cultural Center also presents performances by the South Florida Symphony Orchestra, the Miami International Piano Festival and Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida.
The Broward Center for the Performing Arts manages the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center, a 14,864-square-foot, 326-seat waterfront complex that hosts performing arts, cultural and educational programming for all ages, is located at 3385 N.E. 188 Street in Aventura and on Twitter @Aventura Center.
