Since graduating from The School of Architecture at The Pratt Institute, Miriam Merenfeld has directed her passion for design and style to her jewelry line. Miriam Merenfeld Jewelry is a labor of art; creating designs that evoke meaning and showcase her eye for composition. Born in Venezuela to an architect and a painter, Miriam has been inspired by the arts, architecture, different cultures and their landscape. She has a true passion for design and art.
Miriam currently resides in Miami with her three children and husband. With the ocean and blue skies as her backdrop – there is a calming spirit of tranquility reflected in her collections. Her designs are imbued with a love for symbolic message and spirituality. Many pieces can be customized to tell an individual’s story, thereby giving them personal significance, while at the same time juxtaposing and intertwining the beauty of semi- precious stones and metals.
Perseverance and dedication pay off to those who never give up on a dream. During an open call for Henri Bendel’s Miriam’s collection was chosen for their notorious year round trunk shows. Her jewelry line has been featured on The Today Show and worn by Brooke Shields, Paula Abdul, Christina Ricci, Tiffani Thiessen, Jordin Sparks, Nicole Scherzinger, Ann Curry, Snoop Dogg and Eva Longoria. Her personalized pieces have also been featured in Lucky magazine and FashionGrail blog and more. Her clients include yoga instructors who create their own messages reminding them to meditate to families who choose to gift their loved one with initials or dates that recall a special memory.
