On July 14th., Achieve Miami, a local education nonprofit, and Aventura Mall hosted the annual “Best Look Forward” event, providing an enriching experience for high school students across Miami-Dade County. The event, held at LEVEL THREE in Aventura Mall, featured “The Stylist” – Aventura Mall’s styling program – a shopping spree at H&M, and essential professional development training by the Turnberry HR team.
The “Best Look Forward” event aimed to provide seventy-seven Achieve Miami students from Title One high schools with the necessary information and skills to dress for success.
Throughout the day, the students received support from generous sponsors, including Turnberry, Aventura Mall, The Stylist at Aventura Mall, LEVEL THREE, H&M, Shake Shack, and L.P Rentals. These sponsors played a major part in making the event a resounding success.
Beginning their day at LEVEL THREE, where Turnberry’s HR team delivered a presentation on professional skills, the students gained insights into the importance of professionalism and courtesy in various settings. Next, The Stylist at Aventura Mall provided a comprehensive “Dress for Success” presentation, guiding students on appropriate attire for college entrance interviews and potential job opportunities.
With the support of Aventura Mall, the students embarked on an exciting shopping spree at H&M. The H&M team extended personalized assistance, helping students select clothing items that would enhance their style and make a lasting impression during their interviews and future endeavors.
To conclude the eventful day, Shake Shack provided complimentary lunch for the students and Achieve Miami counselors, demonstrating their continued commitment to empowering young individuals.
“Access to professional attire and interpersonal skills can open so many doors for students participating in college visits, job interviews, and in their everyday lives. With this event, each student will take home a new outfit and new skills. We’re excited to give students access to resources that will help them succeed,” stated Rachel Saiontz Geary, Achieve Miami’s Director of Development.
Aventura Mall has been a steadfast supporter of Achieve Miami since the nonprofit’s inception in 2015, partnering for the “Best Look Forward” since 2018. The collaboration underscores Aventura Mall’s commitment to enriching the lives of local students and providing them with opportunities for personal and professional growth.
