Just say the words ‘Aventura Mall’ and whether you’re from South Florida, New York, Spain, Argentina or France, you know this luxury mall with its collection of the world’s most coveted brands, chef-driven restaurants, LEVEL THREE rooftop venue and museum-worthy Arts Aventura Mall collection. The Aventura Mall is the premier shopping destination in Miami and South Florida and one of the top shopping centers in the nation. But it’s more….so much more!
Created and developed by Turnberry, Jackie Soffer, President and CEO, has made ‘community involvement’ a priority, and just some of Soffer’s outreach efforts include featuring the Humane Society of Greater Miami so they may find forever homes for dogs and cats; providing a Farmer’s Market for the public to enjoy; and displaying top-tier art throughout the shopping center to encourage appreciation of the arts.
Members of the Aventura Marketing Council/Chamber of Commerce (AMC) recently held a luncheon meeting in the Aventura Mall Treats Food Hall. A large area was sectioned off for the event and as members registered, they were presented with two cards: one to choose their luncheon entrée from any of the seven participating restaurants, including Tacology Express, Sproutz, Jrk! Shake Shak, Villa Italian Kitchen and Yalla Motek. Another card listed three participating restaurants, including Les Moulins, Haagen Dazs and Little Brittany Creperie from which guests could select their favorite dessert. The excitement was palpable, as AMC members visited each restaurant to make their final choices. The comments were unanimous….”GREAT food!”; “I never expected to find such fine food in a mall!”; “The meal was so delicious…this is my new ‘go-to’ place”, and “Treats Food Hall really has it all…great selection, spectacular food and served so quickly!”.
But the amazing food was only the beginning of an incredibly successful and memorable meeting. Jackie Soffer, President & CEO of Turnberry, was there to share insights into the Aventura Mall and Treats Food Hall. We were honored to host a special luncheon at the Treats Food Hall,” said Jackie Soffer, Turnberry President and CEO. “We take great pride in supporting and collaborating with important community organizations, such as the Aventura Marketing Council/Chamber of Commerce and City of Aventura, and were delighted to invite them to enjoy some of the unique concepts that our Treats Food Hall offers.”
Former Miami-Dade Commissioner Sally Heyman took the microphone to share her thoughts about Jackie Soffer, “She is an exceptional professional. Beyond this spectacular Aventura Mall, Jackie and her business partners have developed the Miami Beach Convention Center Hotel, SoLe Mia and so much more. She brings inclusivity to both her public and private life. Have you seen the Humane Society here in the Mall in trying to find homes for dogs and cats? That’s Jackie’s good heart in trying to help the animals. And this isn’t just a mall where you can shop all the well-known and luxury brands…..there’s entertainment for the little ones to enjoy, such as; Rainbow Valley Playground and The Gorillas in the Mist, there’s the Aventura Farmer’s Market for the entire community…there’s the walking program for the fitness buffs…and their art collection is amazing.”
Aventura Mayor Howard S. Weinberg, Esq. added, “It is an honor to work closely with Jackie Soffer as she is an integral member of the founding family of the City of Excellence. Jackie and I, as well as my entire Commission, share a commitment to our community. Her attitude is never one of NO, but always one of “How can I help or how can I make it even better.”
