In celebration of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, Aventura Mall proudly unveiled “The Visible Woman,” a new installation by the critically acclaimed artist Luli Sulichin, on March 8, 2025. This striking sculpture is on display until March 31 on the Lower Level near Bloomingdale’s, reinforcing the Center’s role as a cultural hub and supporter of female artists.
“The Visible Woman” by Luli Sulichin, a Jewish-American artist originally from Argentina, embodies a compelling blend of art and technology to explore and challenge societal norms, beauty standards, and cultural censorship. Her work offers a profound commentary on the evolving roles of women in society, making this installation particularly resonant during a month dedicated to celebrating women’s achievements throughout time.
“Art evokes the remarkable ability to inspire, connect, and enrich our community. At Aventura Mall, we proudly showcase over 25 museum-quality installations and works by globally acclaimed artists. This month, we celebrate women’s voices through Luli’s compelling piece, ‘The Visible Woman’—a featured work sparking meaningful conversations.”
This installation follows Sulichin’s historic contribution to the Lunaprise Mission Museum, where her artwork was among those selected to be sent to the moon, a testament to her groundbreaking impact in the field of art. The mission landed on February 22, 2024, marking a significant milestone for art and space exploration.
Situated at Aventura Mall, “The Visible Woman” features an inflatable sculpture designed to engage visitors in an interactive experience that promotes empowerment and reflection. This installation not only highlights the strength and visibility of women but, also encourages viewers to engage with the themes Sulichin explores through her art.
In addition to the installation, Aventura Mall hosted a Female Perspectives in Art & Literature event at Quade Books on March 12, featuring Luli Sulichin and bestselling author Romina Garber. This event further celebrated Women’s History Month in Miami by exploring the intersection of arts, literature, and cultural influence, emphasizing the significant contributions of women in these fields.
Aventura Mall invites the community and media to experience “The Visible Woman” firsthand and offers opportunities for interviews with Luli Sulichin to delve deeper into the inspiration and significance behind her powerful work.
