The Barker Character, Comic & Cartoon Museum was recently featured as one of the best places to visit in New England by Money Magazine and CNNMoney.com, highlighting budget friendly, must see destinations around the country.
Housing one of the country’s largest collections of character toys and artifacts, the museum spans over fifteen decades of American history. Each of the over 80,000 cartoon themed items shows the estimated market value, but nothing is for sale.
“My parents Herb and Gloria Barker spent a lifetime collecting character toys and artifacts to bring smiles and fond memories to all of our visitors. Being recognized by such a prestigious media outlet, really affirms the work my parents have done,” said Gerry Barker, son of Herb and Gloria Barker, owners of Barker Character, Comic & Cartoon Museum. The Barkers also own Barker Animation Art Gallery at The Village at Gulfstream Park.
