Bean Automotive Group has been a strong supporter of Zoo Miami since the grand opening of Lexus of West Kendall back in 2005, working on a variety of projects from sponsoring Feasts with the Beasts, to the ZooRun, to the most recent venture, animal enrichment.
Orangutans are among the most intelligent primates, creating elaborate sleeping nests from a variety of materials and are constantly on the hunt for new items to add to their nests. Due to this, Zoo Miami keeps their habitat full of various items to enrich their environment. Bean Automotive Group has donated hundreds of pounds of cardboard boxes and tires for the orangutans and other animals including elephants, further enriching their environment.
Bean Automotive Group services thousands of vehicles every month at all four locations, and every service has a certain amount of waste involved whether it’s cardboard boxes from new parts or used tires that were switched out from cars. In addition to recycling these items, they are also reused at the zoo for animal enrichment, helping our own environment as well by reducing waste.
