Surely you have heard about internationally renowned artist Romero Britto, South Florida’s own treasure — the most collected and licensed artist in history! Known simply as BRITTO, his works of art have become a global lifestyle with the mission to inspire happiness, fun, love and optimism around the world through vivid color patterns, iconic imagery and fun-filled scenes that are relatable to all.
The great news is that a new BRITTO store will be opening in the Aventura Mall on Saturday, September 2nd, and Romero will be there at 12 noon hosting the grand opening event with music DJ, live entertainment and signing session for the fans. The store is located next to the restaurants Bella Luna and Toku on the upper floor. “I am excited to bring my art to a larger audience and beyond traditional canvas to amazing communities throughout the U.S. and the world,” said Romero Britto.
The brand is debuting a new concept in retail and shopping experience. “We are proud to announce the opening of our new chain of BRITTO® retail stores and franchises around the world. It is our plan to expand to more than 180 locations in USA and over 2,000 worldwide bringing joy and inspiration through a unique retail experience that allows people to connect with art in a special way in their daily lives” commented Dr. Lucas Vidal, CEO of the BRITTO® Group and Romero’s business partner.
Raul Fadel, CEO of Iberia Tiles, has been working with Romero and his team for many years on projects created on tile. Both of Aventura’s schools, Aventura City of Excellence K – 8 School (ACES) and Don Soffer Aventura High School have magnificent artworks on tile that decorates the front entrances to each school. Thanks to Raul, some very fortunate Chairman’s Roundtable members of the Aventura Marketing Council/Chamber of Commerce (AMC) were recently treated to a tour and luncheon at 60,000 sqft. BRITTO Palace, Romero’s work studio and the BRITO brand global headquarters. AMC members toured this enormous facility that featured thousands of pieces of art and photos and learned about the history of so many of them. Romero’s work has been exhibited in the most prestigious galleries and museums in over 120 countries and he has also created innumerous public and private art installations, not to mention the largest in the history of London’s Hyde Park. He did the opening of the Super Bowl XLI in collaboration with the Cirque Du Soleil, was the official artist for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, ambassador to the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, honorary torch bearer and ambassador for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
