Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Remember the Hudson Hornet from the Disney movie, Cars? Well the modern Hornet has the racing roots of that car, but with a modern spirit.
The 2023 Dodge Hornet GT Plus is not what you expect, and that’s a good thing.
It doesn’t look like your grandfather’s race car. It looks like a modern four-door SUV that delivers 21 miles per gallon in the city and 29 miles per gallon on the highway. Together, it gets you a combined 24 miles per gallon.
American grit and fine craftsmanship birthed the 2023 Dodge Hornet. Only top-tier materials were used to accent the sculpted silhouette of this modern take on muscle. The $36,000 price tag delivers 268 horsepower, which feels plenty powerful.
The Dodge Hornet comes standard with All Wheel Drive and a nine-speed automatic transmission with a 2.0 liter Hurricane4 turbo engine capable of 295 pound-feet of torque.
On the inside, you get Alcantara seats and aluminum interior accents that provide great style and comfort. Once you settle into the sport-focused seats, make sure to grab the steering column-mounted paddle shifters and watch yourself go from 0 to 60 on the 12.3-inch driver information digital cluster display. To take it farther, access the iconic Dodge Performance Pages from the 10.25-inch touchscreen to keep track of your stats — from “g-force” to temperature.
The Dodge Hornet features seats with premium leather-trim and an all-black interior with painted and crafted features. Top quality metals and materials accent the dashboard, tunnel bezels and upper door panels. All of it comes together to present a race car-like experience in the cabin.
The Dodge Hornet has available features like a 360-degree surround view camera and a 14-speaker plus subwoofer Harman Kardon premium audio system.
To make it your own, the Dodge Hornet offers the Track Pack, with 20-inch abyss-painted wheels and dual-stage valve suspension. There are a few other packs to consider, too.
The Hornet comes equipped with standard safety and security features across all trim levels, including auto emergency braking, lane support warning when straying from your lane, automatic counter steering and a blind monitoring system with rear cross direction.
The bottom line for me with the 2023 Dodge Hornet GT Plus is that it’s a lot of fun. It makes me want to drive it again. Give it a spin and tell me what you think.
