Yom Ha’atzma’ut, Israeli Independence Day commemorates Israel’s declaration of independence in 1948 and is the official national holiday of the state. In celebration of Israel 73, the MARJCC and its community partners—David Posnack Jewish Community Center, Israeli American Council, Israeli House of the Consulate General of Israel, and the Jewish National Fund/High School in Israel—are proud to present a photography exhibition from April 11-18, 2021, entitled “Israel Through My Lens.” The exhibition’s goal is to present a visual portrait of the culture, people, and Land of Israel through our South Florida community’s eyes.
Whether you are an aspiring photographer or just an amateur, you are invited to share your favorite photos from your travels to the State of Israel for consideration. Send photo submissions via email to Gustavo Scarrone, Visual Arts Coordinator of the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center, at gustavos@marjcc.org by Sunday, April 2. The exhibition will run from April 11-18 and is one of several events presented during Isra-Fest, which commemorates Israel’s Independence Day.
