This February, audiences will fall head over heels for an unforgettable lineup of performances at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Whether it’s date night or an enchanting  evening out, the Broward Center is set to dazzle with world-class productions, from heartwarming musicals “A Beautiful Noise” and “Parade,” to thrilling live performances from legendary greats Paul Anka and Mandy Patinkin, Jim Brickman, Burton Cummings and Jim Messina, a night of culinary entertainment with Alton Brown, comedic gold with Taylor Calmus (aka Dude Dad) and Nikki Glaser and more, there’s no better way to celebrate the season of love than with the magic of live theater.

The Bank of America Broadway in Fort Lauderdale series with presenting sponsor Nicklaus Children’s Health System continues its run of “A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical” on Tuesday, January 21 – Sunday, February 2. Created in collaboration with Neil Diamond himself, “A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical” is the uplifting true story of how a kid from Brooklyn became a chartbusting, show-stopping American rock icon. With 120 million albums sold, a catalogue of classics like “America,” “Forever in Blue Jeans” and “Sweet Caroline,” an induction into the Songwriters and Rock and Roll Halls of Fame, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and sold-out concerts around the world that made him bigger than Elvis, Neil Diamond’s story was made to shine on Broadway and head out on the road across America. Like “Jersey Boys” and “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical” before it, “A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical” is an inspiring, exhilarating, energy-filled musical memoir that tells the untold true story of how America’s greatest hitmaker became a star, set to the songs that defined his career. Performance times vary. The Bank of America Broadway in Fort Lauderdale 2024/2025 season is made possible with the generous support of title sponsor Bank of America and presenting sponsor Nicklaus Children’s Health System. Bank of America Broadway in Fort Lauderdale is presented by Florida Theatrical Association in partnership with the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

Hailing from Boston, the group’s unconventional approach to the music world has allowed them to surge beyond their beloved hometown and emerge as one of the most uniquely powerful, underground live music experiences in the country. Ezra and his bandmates Corinna Smith (Fiddle), Poche Ponce (Bass) and Alex Martin (Percussion) are constantly out on the road, touring at festivals, rock venues and theaters around the country. The result was “Good Eats,” an irreverent, science-forward program that kept Brown gainfully employed for more than 20 years. Along the way, he also hosted the iconic programs “Iron Chef America,” “Food Network Star” and “Cutthroat Kitchen.” Brown’s live culinary variety shows have toured to sold-out crowds across the country since 2013, and his tenth book, a collection of essays and ruminations entitled “Food for Thought,” will be published by Gallery Books in February of 2025.

Currently, she hosts and executive produces “Lovers And Liars” (formerly “Fgirl Island”), the female spinoff of the hit HBO Max reality dating series “Fboy Island,” which Glaser hosted and executive produced for three seasons. She also hosted, co-created and executive produced the critically acclaimed and daring comedic show “Not Safe With Nikki Glaser” for Comedy Central and “Nikki & Sara Live” for MTV. This event contains adult language or content.

Stages Productions revives Hans Christian Andersen’s classic tale “The Ugly Duckling” in a brand new musical in the Amaturo Theater on Tuesday, February 25 at 10 a.m. Born bigger and different than the other hatchlings, the ugly duckling is ridiculed by his brothers and sisters, rejected by the other ducks, and eventually shunned by the entire barnyard. The little bird leaves home, embarking on a rollicking journey through hecklers, hunters and hilarious hi-jinks only to discover that the beauty he was seeking was inside him all along. Smart Stage Matinee performances are ideal for charter, private, public and parochial school students and home-school networks. These educational performances are curriculum-driven and align with Florida’s B.E.S.T. Standards.
