Flamingo Gardens Presents Harvest Festival Weekends: A Celebration of Fall in South Florida

Flamingo Gardens invites guests to revel in the spirit of autumn during its Harvest Festival Weekends, a series of themed celebrations taking place on consecutive weekends throughout October.

Each weekend will transport visitors into a unique world of entertainment, activities, and delectable fall-inspired cuisine. Guests are encouraged to immerse themselves in the festivities by donning costumes that align with the respective week’s theme.

Harvest Festival Weekends Schedule:

October 7 & 8: Pirates Weekend

  • Experience a lively interactive Pirate Encampment with engaging family activities all day.
  • Groove to the beats provided by DJ Digital Anarchy from Noon – 3pm.
  • Get creative with Pumpkin Painting (additional fee).
  • Special at Flamingo Grill: Indulge in Gold Nuggets or savor Boneless Wings in Golden BBQ Sauce.

October 14 & 15: Cirque de Flamingo Weekend

  • Be captivated by the Florida Children’s Theatre Circus Spectacular from Noon – 3pm.
  • Witness awe-inspiring feats of balance and skill, and try your hand at the art under the guidance of performers.
  • Embrace your artistic side with Pumpkin Painting (additional fee).
  • Special at Flamingo Grill: Savor the Flamazing Burger – a culinary delight with Colby Jack Cheese, Grilled Onions, and Flamingo Sauce.

October 21 & 22: Cowboys & Cowgirls Weekend

  • Be entertained by the South Florida Cloggers from Noon – 3pm.
  • Learn the art of dance in between their mesmerizing performances.
  • Meet Rodeo Cowgirl Gina Warren and her horse from 10:30am-4:30pm, and gain insights into rodeo life and the cowboy/girl lifestyle.
  • Don’t miss out on Pumpkin Painting (additional fee).
  • Special at Flamingo Grill: Relish the Rodeo Burger featuring Cheddar Cheese, Onion Rings, and BBQ Sauce.

October 28 & 29: Halloween Weekend

  • Groove to the eclectic tunes of the Sekond Nature Band from Noon – 3pm.
  • Get up close with Flamingo Gardens’ own not-too-spooky Animal Ambassadors (Times TBD).
  • Bring out your inner artist with Pumpkin Painting (additional fee).
  • Special at Flamingo Grill: Try the Spooky Nuggets.

  • Hayrides from 10:30am – 4:30pm (last ride at 4:15pm)
  • Pony Rides (for children) from 11:00am – 3:00pm
  • Farm Animal Encounters from 11:00am-3:00pm
  • Costume Contests & Candy Giveaway (while supplies last) at 1:00pm
  • Fall Photo Opportunities from 9:30am – 4:30pm
  • Giant Board Game Favorites on the Lawn from 10:00am – 4:00pm

Flamingo Pond Snack Bar: Hot dogs, Sandwiches, Salads, Smoothies, Drinks, Snacks, Pretzels & Ice Cream Harvest Fest Weekend Specials: Frozen Apple Cider, Pumpkin Spice Cake Balls, Pumpkin Patch Rice Krispie Treats, and Lollipops.

Flamingo Pond Grill: Pulled Pork, Chicken Sandwiches, Hamburgers, Portobello Mushroom Sandwich, Chicken Fingers, French Fries, Onion Rings, Daily Specials, Sides & Drinks. Weekend Specials: Same as above.

Special Fall Food Vendors Include: Hot buttered Corn on the Cobb, Giant Loaded Baked Potatoes, BBQ Brisket Sundaes, Fresh Brewed Iced Tea & Lemonade, Sweets & Treats.

Masters of the Night: The True Story of Bats Exhibit – In the Gallery

  • 9:30am – 4:30pm: Explore the world of bats and debunk common myths at the Masters of the Night exhibit. On display until January 28, 2024.

Narrated Tram Tour

  • 10:30am – 4pm: Discover the east botanical gardens’ special trees, plants, and Flamingo Gardens’ history on a guided tram tour departing every 30 minutes (weather permitting).

Wray Home Museum

  • 10:00am – 4pm: Gain insights into the history of Flamingo Gardens and its founders, Floyd & Jane Wray.
