On September 22nd, 2013, Hope for Vision will host its 2nd Annual 5K Run/Walk forVision on the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk. All of the funds raised will support critical scientific research to find cures and treatments for blinding diseases. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Adrienne Arsht Hope for Vision Retinal Research Laboratory at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and the Hussman Institute for Human Genomics at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine.
The beautiful beachfront course is 5K certified, and participants will enjoy spectacular ocean views as they race to support innovative research in their community. Race starts at 7:30 a.m. The 5K Run will be chip timed and the results posted race day at www.hopeforvision.org. Awards will be given to the top three finishers overall and top three in each age group, with free event t-shirts for all entries.
Pre-register online at www.crowdrise.com/ hopeforvision5K or register between 6-7:15 a.m. the morning of the event at Charnow Park, Hollywood Beach Broadwalk at Connecticut Street. Discounts for teams of 10 or more and for students with ID.
