The Sugarhill Gang’s now-legendary debut 12” single Rapper’s Delight made history in 1979 when became the biggest-selling 12” single of all time with over a million records sold and reigned as the world’s first greatest hip-hop hit. The track was so iconic it was named in Rolling Stone’s magazine 500 Greatest Songs Ever Recorded. Still packing out venues throughout the world, Sugarhill Gang celebrated the 40th anniversary of the release “Rappers Delight” and the group’s formation. They went on a worldwide tour called Rappers Delight 40th Anniversary World Tour. They are currently touring Europe in the midst of the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop and will be coming to South Florida for the first time in years.

The first stop in their U.S. tour is at the Sports Kings Theater inside the Gulfstream Park Casino, in Hallandale, Beach FL. Saturday, October 21. A native New Yorker, professional stand-up comedian, Bobby Collins has worked alongside Chris Rock, Ray Romano, Drew Carey, and others. He has appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman and The Tonight Show with both Jimmy Fallon and Jay Leno.
