Limoncello Italian Restaurant in Aventura was recently voted one of the 99 “ Most Authentic Italian Restaurants in the United States” and will receive a 4 ½- star rating in a famous Italian restaurant guide to be published this coming October .
To help celebrate this honored designation, Limoncello owners Enza Michienzi and Diego Franco hosted a VIP dinner with special guests including Aventura Mayor Enid Weisman and Gerardo Antelmo, a journalist RAI and Ambassador of the Consorzio Tutela Vini del Sannio. Other guests included Cliff Schulman, Chairman of the Board of the Aventura Marketing Council World-Class Chamber of Commerce and partner in the law firm of Weiss Serota Helfman; The Hon. Michael Stern, former Aventura Commissioner and partner in Stern Bloom Media; Fernando Levy Hara, partner in McKafka Developers and Kevin Shacter, Senior Vice President of Northern Trust Bank.
During the evening, a new white wine was unveiled, Falanghina Del Sannio. Falanghina is an ancient Roman wine made from grapes grown in the porous volcanic soil of Campania in Southern Italy. Falanghina was a favorite wine of Julius Caesar and the Roman emperors, and is extraordinarily well-suited to drink with the world cuisine found at its best here in South Florida, and certainly with the exquisite flavors of Italian dishes.
