Miami nonprofit Circus school offers Free Family Circus Day at Virginia Key Park featuring Cirque du Soleil Artists, Aerial Shows and More

If you enjoy eye catching aerial shows, gigantic stilt walkers and jugglers, Cirque du Soleil  acrobats, and pretty much all things circus-related, you won’t want to miss Circus Day At The  Park on Saturday, May 15th, 2021. 

This family fun event is organized by Miami Circus School, Les Ailes du Desir and sponsored  by Miami Dade County, Intrinsic Edge Capital Management, Frost Science, ID Beauty,  Graubard Miller, Mayami Mexicantina Wynwood, Perry Ellis International, Florida East  Coast Reality LLC, StomatCare and Fun 4 Miami Kids. 

The event is open to the public from 10AM to 2PM in the beautiful venue, Historic Virginia  Key Beach Park, with performances of artists from Cirque du Soleil and other performing arts  companies. In addition to activities, the public will also get to learn some circus art during a  special circus workshop. 

Talented Performers include Silvia Dopazo, Stephanie Chisholm, Kelly Mixon, Jorge Moreno,  Samantha Mixan, Rony G, Duo Karyna Konchaviska and Suren Bozyan. A special guest speaker  will share perspectives on the importance of physical activity programs like circus arts for  children with autism, ADHD, dyslexia and different learning or physical abilities.  

“We have received a grant from Miami Dade to host a Family Circus Day and we are truly excited as this is the first time that there is a free, scalable, and inclusive Family Circus Arts  Community Event in Miami,” said Les Ailes du Désir Founder Claudine Choquette.

“This event is possible “With the Support of the Miami Dade County Department of  Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami Dade County Mayor, and  Board of County Commissioners.”

About the Organizer 

Les Ailes du Désir Foundation’s mission is to provide members of Miami’s diverse  communities, especially children, with the personal and artistic benefits that result from  education and training in the arts. The main goal of our foundation is to articulate structured and  progressive distinct training courses for the under 18 years old that meets specific hardship  criteria, including programs for children with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, different learning or  physical abilities by providing opportunities to introduce and inspire youth through Performing  Arts. As such, we seek to create community benefits and positive social change through art  education efforts as a powerful catalyst.
