Known for exceptional harmonies and song-writing skills, Nashville-based band Savannah Jack takes the stage at Aventura on Thursday, March 24 at 8 p.m. Having performed all over the world and opened for Peter Frampton, John Fogerty, Vince Gill, The Doobie Brothers and for more than 60 shows with the legendary Kenny Rogers, the group honed its skills to become known as a band that captivates the audience from the very first note.
Comprised of lead vocalist Don Gatlin, bassist Jay Darby and Matt Thomas Schumacher on fiddle and guitar, Savannah Jack cites musical influences ranging from Ronnie Milsap, The Gatlin Brothers, Kenny Rogers and Restless Heart to The Beatles, Tom Petty and The Eagles.
Joe Guercio, former music director for Elvis Presley, lauds Savannah Jack as “The best band hands down that I have seen in country music today. Incredible harmonies . . . great players. I consider them to be the ‘Alabama’ of the 21st Century.”
