The Jewish Institute for National Security of America (JINSA) will hold its inaugural U.S.-Israel National Security Conference Nov. 19-20 in Aventura, FL. The two-day conference, open to the public, will bring together senior U.S. and Israeli military leaders, national security and defense experts, and community leaders to discuss critical issues related to the U.S-Israel security relationship.
The conference is an opportunity to learn deeply about the military and diplomatic dynamics between the United States and Israel, and how they are impacting Israel’s war against Iran and its regional terror proxies. The event features keynote addresses and panel discussions from an unmatched mix of military and civilian policy experts—never before assembled in Florida.
The conference will open November 19 with an exclusive conversation headlined by General Frank McKenzie, USMC (ret.), former Commander of U.S. Central Command, and JINSA President & CEO Dr. Michael Makovsky. They’ll reflect on pivotal moments in the Middle East, including strategic operations targeting Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and Qasem Soleimani, and discuss future support for Israel’s security with special remarks by Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Major General Yaacov Ayish (ret.)
The full-day session on November 20 kicks off with an exclusive breakfast conversation with Lt. Gen. Joseph T. Guastella, U.S. Air Force (ret.) the former Chief of Staff for Operations for an off-the-record session on high-value target operations. The rest of the day’s distinguished lineup of speakers include:
- Lt. Gen. Sean M. Farrell, Deputy Commanding General of U.S. Special Operations Command
- IDF Major General Yaacov Ayish (ret.), former Head of IDF Operations and JINSA Senior Vice President for Israeli Affairs
- IDF BG Effie Defrin, former Head of the IDF’s International Cooperation Division and JINSA Visiting Fellow
- John Hannah, former National Security Advisor to Vice President Dick Cheney and JINSA Senior Fellow
- Blaise Misztal, JINSA Vice President for Policy
- Matthew Kenney, JINSA Vice President for Government Affairs
