As our community looks toward the future, it is crucial to have a leader who not only understands the complex challenges we face but is also deeply committed to addressing them with expertise, passion, and integrity. That leader is Jason Pizzo, Florida Senate Incumbent Senator for District 37.
Since his election to the Florida Senate in 2018, Senator Pizzo has proven himself to be a tireless advocate for the residents of coastal Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. His tenure in office is marked by a long list of accomplishments, most notably in his leadership on public safety, housing, and community resiliency. As the Chair of the Broward Legislative Delegation and the Vice Chair of the Senate’s Resiliency Committee, Pizzo has consistently ensured that the priorities of our region are front and center in Tallahassee.
Before entering public office, Senator Pizzo’s background as an Assistant State Attorney gave him firsthand experience with the pressing issues of public safety and justice. His work in creating the Gun Violence Initiative, which tackled cold case shootings and juvenile homicides, underscores his dedication to making our communities safer. He has also been a champion of transparency and safety within condominium associations—an issue close to home following the Surfside building collapse. Thanks to his leadership, Florida now has robust legislation to ensure our buildings are structurally sound and well-maintained.
But Senator Pizzo’s impact goes far beyond legislation. His office has supported thousands of Floridians, helping them navigate challenges such as housing insecurity, unemployment issues, and food shortages. Pizzo’s commitment to serving the people is evident in the many honors and awards he has received, including recognition from the Florida League of Cities, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), and the Florida Fraternal Order of Police.
As he prepares to take on the role of Senate Minority Leader, Pizzo is uniquely positioned to continue delivering results for our community. His deep understanding of local issues, combined with his forward-thinking leadership, makes him the best choice to represent us in the Florida Senate.
