Seven Mayors share the podium at Aventura Marketing Council/Chamber of Commerce Breakfast Meeting FPL, Hotwire and Linqqs HMP sponsor exceptional meeting

The Aventura Marketing Council/ Chamber of Commerce (AMC) has always been fortunate to have two or three Mayors attend their Breakfast Meetings. However, once a year, the AMC holds a very special meeting called “Meet the Mayors” where the Mayors participate in a panel to share the ‘good news’ about their cities. At the AMC’s recent Meet the Mayors Breakfast Meeting, seven Mayors shared the podium, including: Aventura Mayor Howard S. Weinberg, Esq; Bay Harbor Islands Mayor Isaac Salver; Dania Beach Mayor Joyce Davis; El Portal Mayor Omarr Nickerson; Golden Beach Mayor Glenn Singer; North Miami Beach Mayor Michael Joseph and Sunny Isles Beach Mayor Larisa Svechin.

The beautiful Carrington Ballroom at the Hilton Aventura was filled to capacity with AMC members who were not only eager to hear each Mayor’s update, but to parktake of the great networking that is the hallmark of the AMC. The first half hour of the meeting was devoted to networking and the breakfast, with superstar Young Star singer Camie Liz providing background music and the sound system from HNO Productions before Aventura Mayor Howard S. Weinberg, Esq. extended a warm welcome to everyone on behalf of the “City of Excellence”.

Meeting Title Sponsor Chelsea Lunn, FPL’s External Affairs Manager MiamiDade, said “ As FPL celebrates its 100th anniversary, we remain focused on delivering affordable, reliable energy through a diverse mix that includes solar, nuclear and natural gas. Innovation’s at the heart of what we do—our new Florida Power & Light and Miami-Dade Clean Water Recovery Center repurposes up to 15 million gallons of treated wastewater daily to support power generation at the Turkey Point Clean Energy Center. This forwardthinking public-private partnership shows how innovation and collaboration can help conserve resources, reduce waste, and support resilient energy for the future, all while keeping energy bills low for families and businesses. From innovative energy solutions that provide sustainable power to our ongoing initiatives focused on improving infrastructure, storm resiliency and supporting local projects, we’re committed to making Florida an even better place to live, work and raise a family.“

Justin Mila, Sr. Regional Director of Business Development for Hotwire, added, “ Hotwire Communications is proud to deliver its all-fiber network to the greater Aventura community, offering future-proof connectivity with unmatched speeds, reliability, and innovation directly to residents’ doorsteps. Headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Hotwire was the first ISP in Florida to launch an all-fiber network, specializing in delivering scalable community-wide technology solutions for condos, municipalities, and senior-living communities – all supported with its signature concierge-level service.“

Terry Kennedy, retirement planning guru, founder of Appreciation Financial and architect of Linqqs HMP teased his groundbreaking innovation for both public and private sector employees, saying “By shifting healthcare from reactive to proactive, Linqqs HMP can and does positively impact retirement savings and likely solves the Social Security looming crisis.”

And then it was time for the Mayors to take their place at the panel table and begin sharing their city’s good news. The Mayors covered everything from new developments and infrastructure to city improvements. Mayor Nickerson took his allotted time to present plaques to the AMC leadership to thank them for their “service, dedication and truly making a difference”in the South Florida business community.
