They’ve had three Gold Records…33 appearances on American Bandstand.. Vocal Group Hall of Fame… Doo-Wop Hall of Fame and more…….yes….we’re talking about THE DIAMONDS. Remember “The Stroll”, “Little Darlin’” and “Silhouettes”…just some of their monster hits… and you can re-live them again with The Footlighters on Sunday, March 9th, at their 12 noon luncheon and show at Temple Solel, 5100 Sheridan Street, Hollywood 33021. Tickets are $90 for Footlighters Club members and $110 for non-members.
Through the years, THE DIAMONDS have learned one important lesson—the durability of this classic rock and roll music is as much about the future as it is about the past. As a result, THE DIAMONDS continue to expand their audience to this day at venues worldwide. “We’ve been pleased to find a growing audience among all age groups. They love songs they can understand, remember and actually sing the words to—today, tomorrow or even 20 years from now.”
The Footlighters Club was created in 1956 to bring together entertainers for fun and fellowship. In 1962, they created the Footlighters Foundation to raise funds for entertainers suffering from illness or financial hardships, distributing over $1million to date. Over the years, honored guests and members have included Tony Bennett, Sammy Davis, Jr., Norm Crosby, Connie Francis, Jackie Mason, Jerry Lewis, Frank Sinatra, Neil Sedaka and more. All are welcome to join the Footlighters Club and enjoy incredible special events.
