FirstBank Florida has announced the appointment of Aimee De Guzman as the new senior vice president director of operations. With over a decade of experience in the banking industry, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the FirstBank team.
De Guzman has extensive experience in various operational areas, including audit, compliance risk management, deposit operations, wire transfers, loan operations, debit and credit card operations, data management, digital banking, and support center. Her comprehensive background will be instrumental in driving FirstBank’s operational excellence.

Lacasa, executive vice president and Florida business director for FirstBank Florida. “Her extensive experience and strategic insight will be invaluable as we continue to enhance our operational capabilities and provide outstanding customer service to our clients.”
In her new role, De Guzman will oversee the development of long-term strategic objectives for the bank’s operational areas, ensuring alignment with the overall corporate organizational strategy. She also will manage the integration of regional systems, policies, and procedures with those at the corporate level, while strengthening the regional operational framework and internal controls.
De Guzman holds a master’s degree in accounting from Nova Southeastern University and dual bachelor’s degrees in accounting and business administration from Florida International University. She has been involved in various organizations, including the Florida Banker’s Association, South Florida Banking Institute, South Florida Compliance Association, and the Financial Managers Society.
