The Women’s Chamber of Commerce in the United States proudly announces a historic milestone: the State of Florida and Miami-Dade County have officially proclaimed October 2 as Hispanic Women’s Day, honoring the invaluable contributions of millions of women to the economic, social, cultural, and political fabric of the nation.
The proclamation ceremony will take place on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Miami Dade College – Wolfson Campus (300 NE 2nd Ave, Miami, FL). The event coincides with the national celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, underscoring its symbolic role as a tribute to the legacy, identity, and impact of the Hispanic community in the United States.
Distinguished leaders will join the ceremony, including:
- Daniella Levine Cava, Mayor of Miami-Dade County
- Hon. Ana María Rodríguez, Florida State Senator
- Christi Fraga, Mayor of the City of Doral
- Eileen Higgins, Miami-Dade County Commissioner, District 5
One of the ceremony’s most solemn moments will be the presentation of a United States flag flown over the U.S. Capitol, sent by Senator Rick Scott to honor this occasion as a symbol of unity, respect, and national pride.
“This Chamber is not only about commerce—it is a movement to recognize the decades of dedication and achievement of Hispanic women in the United States,” said Yamilet Rivas, President of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce in the U.S.
Hispanic Women’s Day will stand as a lasting tribute to the legacy, unity, and innovation of Hispanic women, inspiring future generations to continue building a more inclusive, diverse, and prosperous nation.
