Greater Miami Jewish Federation to honor Adam Lustig, Alexandra Lehson on June 7

Bilzin Sumberg has announced Real Estate partners Adam Lustig and Alexandra Lehson are being honored by the Greater Miami Jewish Federation for their outstanding leadership in the community.

Lustig will receive the Stanley C. Myers Presidents’ Leadership Award, and Lehson will be presented with the Sandra C. Goldstein Young Leadership Award at the Federation’s 79th annual meeting luncheon on June 7 at the Hilton Miami Downtown.

The Stanley C. Myers award, named after the Federation’s late founding president and first awarded in 1957, recognizes a leader in community service between the ages of 35 and 45 who has shown outstanding devotion to the Federation and Miami’s Jewish community.

It is considered the highest award the Federation presents each year.

Lustig is a member of the Federation’s board of directors, chairs its Attorneys’ Division, and is a member of the Jewish Federations of North America’s National Young Leadership Cabinet.

At Bilzin Sumberg, he focuses his practice on acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, development, and joint ventures involving retail, office, industrial, raw land, condominiums, and hotels. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and chair of the ICSC Miami Committee and a member of the Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar. Lustig received the Federation’s Sandra C. Goldstein Young Leadership Award in 2011.

The Sandra C. Goldstein award recognizes someone between the ages of 25 and 35 who has shown leadership in the Federation’s activities, including the Annual Federation/UJA Campaign. Created in 2006 by Miriam and Sam Goldstein in memory of their daughter, the award also honors participation in the local, national, and overseas beneficiaries and affiliated agencies of the Federation.

Lehson is campaign chair and a member of the executive board of The Network, a member of the Federation’s Young Professional Division, and also serves as social action co-chair for the Jewish Federations of North America’s National Young Leadership Cabinet.

At Bilzin Sumberg, Lehson focuses her practice on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including complex commercial financing on behalf of borrowers and lenders, acquisitions, dispositions, and structuring transactions for optimum documentary stamp and intangible tax treatment.

“It is a real joy to be able to honor and recognize extraordinary young leaders like Adam and Alexandra,” said Jacob Solomon, Federation president and CEO. “Each of them has already made a tremendous contribution to our efforts, and we know their effectiveness as leaders will only grow in the future. Not only do they join a long and illustrious list of past recipients as exemplars of community leadership, but they also build upon Bilzin Sumberg’s legacy of involvement with the Federation and throughout the community.”
