Miami Dade College (MDC) and Junior Achievement of Greater Miami (JA Miami) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to launch a new partnership that creates innovative, hands-on learning opportunities for students pursuing teaching careers. The signing ceremony took place at MDC’s Padrón Campus.
The agreement will integrate Junior Achievement’s award-winning curriculum in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and career readiness into MDC’s Teaching Academies Dual Enrollment Program — strengthening the pipeline of future teachers across Miami-Dade County.
This collaboration represents the next step in the Teaching Academies Dual Enrollment Program, a successful partnership between MDC’s School of Education and Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS). The program provides real-world experiences for high school students passionate about teaching.
Through this new MOU, Teaching Academy students will step into real classrooms — partnering with JA Miami to teach financial literacy lessons to K-5 public school students. These future educators will gain invaluable classroom experience while delivering meaningful instruction to young learners across the district.
