To the Editor:
It’s important for Miami residents to vote “yes #238” this November on the charter change question that would allow the City of Miami to enter into a long-term lease with the Dade Heritage Trust Preservation and Tourism Information Center and Gallery, also known as “Dr. Jackson’s Office and Surgery.”
Dade Heritage Trust has occupied and cared for this historic building for almost 40 years. In that time, it has renovated and maintained the early-Miami style office at 190 SE Second Terrace in the Brickell corridor. A long-term lease will assure both maintenance of the historic structure and sustainability for the organization dedicated to enhancing Miami’s sense of place and preserving its heritage.
Please vote yes #238 on Nov. 8 to support Dade Heritage Trust and Miami’s special places.
