The 2024 AMG GT 63 Coupé marks a significant evolution for Mercedes-AMG’s flagship melding high-octane performance with newfound comfort and practicality. This GT offers more space and an interior that inspires and satisfies your expectations for driving a top quality car.
Under the hood lives a hand-assembled 4.0 L twin-turbo V8 pumping out 577 horsepower and 590 lb‑ft of torque, paired with a 9-speed AMG Speedshift MCT automatic and standard 4MATIC+. What you get: the 2024 AMG GT 63 Coupé reaches 0–60 mph in about 3.1 seconds. It also delivers 13 miles per gallon in the city and 20 miles per gallon on the highway.
With a front-biased weight distribution, the GT feels noticeably different in cornering, pulling through turns with a new level of confidence. This, combined with rear-wheel steering and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential, translates into both agility and stability.
Step inside, and you’ll find a modern, refined cockpit. Available with a panoramic glass roof, comfortable massage-capable sports seats, and a hands-free powered tech, it’s a far more practical GT. Rear seats exist and the cargo bay comfortably swallows two golf bags.
An 11.9-inch touchscreen anchors the dash, equipped with wireless charging, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and an available Burmester sound system. It’s an amazing presentation that keeps you entertained and excited.
The ride is intentionally firm, which is designed more for track performance rather than plush cruising. Steering and feedback have improved, delivering excellent driver confidence, though with a more disciplined edge than before. I really enjoyed that because that’s what you want – a little bit of the unexpected in this type of roadster.
Pricing starts at roughly $177,000–179,000 for the GT 63, climbing from around $136,000 for the GT 55. It’s worth it because the GT 63 offers an amazing adventure on the road that few cars make possible.
More refined, more spacious, and taller on practicality than before, the 2024 AMG GT 63 Coupé reinvents itself as a daily-drivable super GT. It hasn’t lost its AMG essence – it’s just refined it.
