2026 Infiniti QX60 Sport is a fun drive

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

In a crowded field of luxury three-row crossovers, the 2026 Infiniti QX60 Sport stakes its claim by blending performance, style updates, and richer tech. Infiniti has given the 2026 QX60 a midcycle refresh rather than a full overhaul. Key changes include a revamped front fascia, refreshed wheel designs, with 20-inch wheels now being the standard, darker chrome accents, a newly illuminated Infiniti emblem, and visual cues borrowed from the larger QX80.

On the inside, the updates are more substantive. Across all trims, Infiniti is pushing Google Built-In, which lets you run maps, apps, and Google Assistant without relying on your smartphone. Infotainment is matched with a dual 12.3-inch digital cluster and touchscreen setup. Higher trims get a 20-speaker Klipsch premiere audio system, with speakers even tucked into headrests for immersive sound distribution.

On the driver assistance front, the 2026 model introduces ProPILOT Assist 2.1, bringing hands-free highway driving in appropriate conditions, along with features like a “3D surround view” camera system and an “invisible hood” view for better visibility at the front.

But under the hood, powertrain continuity marks the design: the same 2.0-liter variable-compression turbocharged 2,0-liter, 4-cylinder engine that produces 268 horsepower paired with a 9-speed automatic system. Front-wheel drive remains standard, with all-wheel drive as an option, delivering 24 miles per gallon combined.

The Sport trim leans into styling with gloss black accents, a more aggressive grille and fascia, unique wheels, and exclusive interior touches like “dusk blue” upholstery and captain’s chairs in the second row.

In our time behind the wheel, the upgraded QX60 presents strengths. The $62,000 2.0-liter turbo has adequate torque for daily driving and cruising. The refreshed QX60 feels refined overall on smooth roads. The driver assistance and hands-free highway mode do perform credibly. In freeway settings, ProPILOT Assist 2.1 handles lane keeping smoothly.

Passenger comfort is a strong point. The first two rows offer generous space and comfort. The second row in Sport or Autograph can be outfitted with captain’s chairs and the third row works for most rides.

From a practical standpoint, Infiniti continues to offer INFINITI Premium Care, which bundles services like complimentary oil changes and tire rotations for the initial years. All-in-all, I enjoyed driving the 2026 Infiniti QX60 Sport and I think you will, too. Give it a spin and tell me what you think.
