Women Empowering and Embracing Women Award Honorees

The South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SFLHCC) recently held its annual Women Empowering and Embracing Women Awards, with a thought-provoking theme centered around “State of Miami-Dade County Ports.” The event commenced with opening remarks by the Honorable Daniella Levine Cava, the Mayor of Miami-Dade County. A panel discussion followed, featuring notable leaders such as Hydi Webb from Port of Miami and Ralph Cutié from Miami International Airport, moderated by Emmy Award-winning news reporter and anchor Maria Fernanda Lopez from Univision.

This year’s event celebrated the achievements and contributions of several remarkable women within the community. The award recipients included Erbi Blanco, Kadie Black, Hydi Webb, Irela Bague, Michelle Palacio, Vanessa Ferrod, Patsy Linares, Odalys Arevalo, and Mercy Cabrera

Additionally, the Man of the Year award was presented to Alejandro Mendieta for his significant contributions and support to the community. This event recognized the accomplishments of exceptional individuals and highlighted the importance of empowering women and fostering leadership across the Miami-Dade region.

La Cámara de Comercio Hispana del Sur de la Florida (SFLHCC) celebró recientemente su edición anual de los Premios Women Empowering and Embracing Women Awards, con un tema que invita a la reflexión centrado en el “Estado de los puertos del condado de Miami-Dade”. El evento comenzó con las palabras de apertura de la Honorable Daniella Levine Cava, alcaldesa del condado de Miami-Dade. A continuación, se celebró un panel de debate en el que participaron destacados líderes como Hydi Webb del puerto de Miami y Ralph Cutié del Aeropuerto Internacional de Miami, moderado por la periodista y presentadora de noticias ganadora del premio Emmy, María Fernanda López, de Univision.
