Commissioner Kevin Marino Cabrera announced today his participation in the Electoral College as one of Florida’s 30 presidential electors. Representing Miami-Dade County, Commissioner Cabrera will join electors from across the nation in casting their votes for the next President and Vice President of the United States.

“As one of Florida’s 30 presidential electors, I am honored to fulfill my constitutional duty in the Electoral College,” said Commissioner Cabrera. “Being selected as an elector is an extraordinary privilege, and I feel deeply honored to be part of this tradition that has shaped our democracy for over two centuries.”

Commissioner Cabrera continued, “I am especially proud to support President Donald J. Trump, who decisively won Florida and made history by flipping Miami-Dade County for the first time since 1988. This remarkable achievement underscores the strength of President Trump’s vision and the support he has garnered across our state, including traditionally Democratic strongholds. It is a privilege to represent the will of Florida voters in this pivotal moment for our nation.”

The Electoral College process, established by Article II of the U.S. Constitution, ensures that each state has representation proportional to its congressional delegation. With 30 electors, Florida plays a crucial role in determining the nation’s leadership.

Commissioner Cabrera’s participation as an elector highlights his ongoing dedication to representing the interests of his community and upholding the democratic values of the United States.
