More than 300 people gathered at Books & Books in Coral Gables on Oct. 6 as Cindy Papale-Hammontree and Sabrina Hernandez Cano launched their third book, Experts in Pink.

The hosts for the evening was Julie Guy and Tamara Gant, those “two girls in the morning” from 101.5 LITE FM. The panel of physicians that evening came together to help educate on each of their expertise and is expressed in each chapter. The audience members were filled with questions.

Cindy and Sabrina shared with the audience members the amazing organizations available to help as each goes through the journey with breast cancer. The Link of Hope Sistas, founded by Patricia San Pedro, being one of them on Facebook where survivors all over the world come together to help each other. Also, Bosom Buddies, a group founded by Linda Burrows that meets once a month at Baptist Hospital, offers support before, during, and after treatment. The third organization is Y2B2, founded by Jennifer Hernandez, that is there for women or men diagnosed with any cancer including breast.

Experts in Pink is an expansion of selected chapters like Nutrition: A Higher Level of Wellbeing, contributed by co-author Sabrina Hernandez-Cano, RD, LD/N, CDE. Due to popular demand, Hernandez-Cano includes even more delicious, life-affirming recipes.

In the years following her 18-year journey as a breast cancer survivor, Cindy Papale-Hammontree has dedicated her life to helping others move through their breast cancer diagnosis and treatment armed with knowledge, hope, and inspiration. After the success of their last book Miami Breast Cancer Experts, Cindy and Sabrina decided to expand Experts in Pink to include important topics like cardiac effects after chemo and radiation therapy, and the healing benefit of music on the immune system.

Cindy and Sabrina will be launching their own IHEART radio show in 2019 and will be having special guests on like Mariel Hemingway who wrote a testimonial on the back cover for Experts in Pink.

Books and Books, located at 265 Aragon Ave. in Coral Gables, has restocked its shelves with more signed copies of Experts in Pink.
