Miami-Dade County School Board chair and District 6 representative, Mari Tere Rojas hosted a town hall meeting at the historic Coral Gables Preparatory Academy on Tuesday, Nov. 12, recognizing students who have excelled academically, demonstrated exceptional growth, and maintained perfect attendance.
Students from Coral Gables and South Miami feeder pattern schools showcased their exceptional talents in the visual and performing arts, bringing the evening to life with their creativity. Their performances served as a vibrant reminder of the diverse pathways to success available within Miami-Dade’s schools.
Rojas, joined by district and regional staff, engaged with a diverse audience of parents, students, teachers, administrators, the workforce, community leaders, and stakeholders.
The discussions covered important topics, including academic and parent resources, post-secondary career & technical education (CTE) pathways, and critical insights on safety, security, and mental health support services. These conversations reflected the district’s unwavering commitment to a well-rounded and secure educational experience, preparing them for future success and beyond.
