An ensemble from the Emmy and Gold Medal-winning South Florida Youth Symphony (SFYSMusic.org), one of the nation’s leading youth music organizations, will perform a free concert, Feb. 11, on the Balcony Stage of the Miracle Theatre, 280 Miracle Mile.
The ensemble’s appearance, sponsored by the City of Coral Gables, begins at 6:30 p.m.
The SFYS Symphonia Chamber Orchestra and Brass Choir will compose the ensemble and will provide a memorable concert featuring light classics, according to Marjorie Hahn, South Florida Youth Symphony executive and music director.
“The ensemble performance will feature something for everyone’s taste,” Hahn said.
The South Florida Youth Symphony program is sponsored with the support of Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, Miami-Dade County Mayor and County Commissioners, The Children’s Trust, State of Florida Division of Arts & Culture, Miami-Dade County Office of Management and Budget, The Kirk Foundation, The Nancy Friday Foundation, and Miami Dade College North Campus.
