The Shops at Merrick Park, located in the heart of Coral Gables at 358 San Lorenzo Ave., is the perfect place for the finest shopping, dining, entertainment — and now a farmers’market.
The Shops at Merrick Park is combining its 100 luxury retailers and restaurants with South Florida’s very own farmers, local producers, artisans, and crafters. Starting Nov. 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a sophisticated, yet very authentic, farmers’ market will make its debut in the area located between Tourneau and Nordstrom.
The market will be open to the public every Sunday, offering an array of fine hand-crafted and locally produced fresh products from local vendors. These vendors promise to offer a variety of fresh produce, including naturally grown seasonal fruits and vegetables; fresh herbs; grains; plants and orchids; hand poured soaps; ceviche, salsas and guacamole; artisan breads and baked goods; vegan and gluten free products; fruit and vegetable juices and smoothies; local honey; handcrafted jams, jellies, and spreads, and much more.
Iris Casanova, executive director of Florida Fresh Market, is excited to bring the farmers’market to this lavish venue.
“Shopping at a farmers’ market is a wholly unique experience that benefits farmers and local producers directly,” she said. “They provide wonderful access for local residents and neighboring communities to fresh, nutritious foods, helping to keep our communities healthy.”
The farmers market seeks to create a healthier environment, unite the community, and promote local vendors and their amazing products.
