Experience blues music like never before during a special after dark concert in the beautiful gardens of Preston B. Bird/Mary Heinlein Fruit & Spice Park, a Miami-Dade County heritage park. The concert will take place on Sunday, Apr. 2, from 7 to 10 p.m., and will feature live performances by Betty Padgett and Kedash Cornileus.
Guests can enjoy full access to the gardens with event admission and indulge in a variety of food truck selections.
Event admission at the gate is $15 for adults (ages 12 and older), $8 for kids ages 6 to 11, and free for children ages 5 and under. Purchase pre-sale tickets at www.miamidadeparks.com to receive 20 percent off the ticket price. External promo and coupons not applicable for this event. No large coolers or pets allowed.
Fruit & Spice Park, located at 24801 SW 187 Ave. in Homestead, is a 37-acre subtropical paradise nestled in the heart of the historic Redland community, just 35 miles south of Miami. Surrounded by thousands of acres of tropical agriculture, the park is a jewel in South Florida’s agricultural community with more than 500 varieties of exotic fruits, herbs, spices, and nuts from around the world. Visitors can sample fallen fruit (no above-aground harvesting is permitted).
Guided tours are conducted every day, at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., except during major events and weather permitting. Only service dogs allowed, not pets.
