For its latest “Baking in Historic Places” adventure on Aug. 3, Dade Heritage Trust (DHT) headed to one of South Florida’s local tropical wonders, Fruit & Spice Park in Homestead. In this photo, DHT’s Lucia Meneses leads the group of almost 20 amateur bakers step-by-step in making summertime fruit tarts, also known as galettes, with ingredients from Fruit & Spice Park’s own crop.
