The Town of Cutler Bay’s 2023 Holiday Celebration and Golf Cart Parade at Cutler Ridge Park again proved to be a popular and colorful event that brought residents out for a evening of fun.

Mayor Tim Meerbott and members of the town council took part, in costumes and in carts of their own, celebrating the Christmas spirit and the community get-together that takes place each year.

In addition to the merriment, the Golf Cart Parade had a serious purpose, the collection of toys donated to the town’s toy drive for Holtz Children’s Hospital at Jackson Memorial.

Maria Herrera‑Mendoza, Events & Programs manager for the town’s Department of Parks & Recreation, was pleased with the turnout for the Holiday Celebration and Golf Cart Parade.

“The event was a fantastic gathering featuring activities like photos with Santa, food trucks, inflatables, face painting, and live music,” Herrera‑Mendoza said. “We had about 300 golf carts participate in the Golf Cart Parade and I would say around 2,000 attendees who enjoyed the festivities. Mayor Tim Meerbott, Councilmembers Suzy Lord, Richard Ramirez, and Robert ‘BJ’ Duncan all attended.”

Sponsors of the event were Southern Golf Cars and State Farm Agent Greisy Cabanas.
