The Homestead Center for the Arts Bea Peskoe Lunchtime Lecture series will feature Elam Stoltzfus at noon on Monday, Mar. 9, in Room D112 of the Library Building on Miami Dade College’s Homestead Campus, 500 College Terr. in Homestead.
In his Journeys Across Florida talk award winning nature film producer Elam Stoltzfus will share stories about the people he interacted with in his film projects featuring the wilds of Florida. This interactive visual presentation includes a vast collection of video clips, and behind the scenes action in creating a Florida nature film.
There will be opportunities to interact with Stoltzfus, ask questions and learn more about the landscapes and habitats of Florida. This will be the third time Stolzfus has regaled the Homestead Center for the Arts crowd with his nature adventures around Florida.
A simple lunch will be available for $10 beginning at 11:30 a.m. by reservation only. Call Barbara at 305-230-9185 before 2 p.m. on Friday, Mar. 6.
The presentation is open to the public free of charge. Parking is available on the east side of the campus. Handicapped access is excellent.
The series, named for the late Bea Peskoe who was an advocate for social justice, education and culture, is presented with the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, Cultural Affairs Council, Mayor and the Miami- Dade Board of County Commissioners.
