The Rotary Club of Perrine-Cutler Ridge/Palmetto Bay is excited to announce an ongoing initiative to distribute 16,500 pieces of brand-new women’s professional clothing, generously donated by a community member, to organizations throughout South Dade that support teenage girls and women in need.
So far, donations have been made to:
- Plymouth Congregational Church Thrift Store in Coconut Grove, where proceeds from clothing sales help fund vital community programs throughout the Miami area
- Academy of CLASS, an organization that empowers at-risk teens
- Community Health of South Florida, Inc., where the clothing will benefit women in the South Dade community
- Suited for Success / Dress for Success Miami, which provides individuals with professional attire as they prepare to enter or return to the workforce
The Club plans to continue donating the remaining clothing throughout the year, including at two of its upcoming Back-to-School giveaway events.
The Rotary Club of Perrine-Cutler Ridge/Palmetto Bay welcomes inquiries from additional organizations interested in partnering to expand the reach of our clothing donation initiative. The professional attire includes skirts, long-sleeved shirts, and pants (sizes 0-14).
